Reenactment of the 1774 Powder Raid of Fort William and Mary
An Interactive Event and Community Reception at NCC hosted in partnership with the Newmarket Historical Society and the NH Sons of the Revolution. There will be an re-enactment of the “Powder Keg Raid” that happened December 14th & 15th in 1774 at Fort William and Mary (today known as Fort Constitution). This service is open to the public, and for those who were former members of the Newmarket Militia - you are invited to attend in your old militia uniforms.
Join in to experience an reenactment of the 1774 Powder Raid; wear your colonial clothing; and experience history.
Reception to follow in the NCC Fellowship Hall to include authentic to the period refreshments.
