Judi Case

I made an appointment to meet Pastor Patty to talk about the Food Pantry, last June. I thought I might have something to offer NCC. I have 20+ years working with food banks in Washington State, being a community liaison for post incarceration reunification villages, and in general, nourishing the communities I lived in. I’ve been a child advocate for the underserved and unhoused, taught nutrition and cooking classes to their families, and helped families in transition find permanent housing. As a retired caterer, I have found my greatest satisfaction in simply feeding people. Whether it was through weeknight community meals, collecting and distributing lunch meals for school breaks, or hosting food drives, I have always found these efforts to be the only true way to satisfy my passions, and to serve those in need.

After my meeting with Pastor Patty, I became a volunteer at the pantry, and felt the overwhelming sense of belonging – to the pantry, to the church, and the community. I love serving on our Missions board, too. There are so many ways in which we collaborate with our community!

After spending 17 years with GE, leading sales and business planning teams, I finally have my ‘Dream Job’! Who knew? As the Director of our beloved Food Pantry, I find that I feel so very grateful. To God, to this church, and best of all, I am grateful for all the wonderful shoppers and this community who bring me joy every week.

When I am not found in the pantry, I enjoy hikes, gardening, long walks with my husband, Ralph, and keeping in touch with our 4 adult kids and our 7 grandkids. And of course – cooking!

Come visit our Pantry - I would love to give you a tour!
